Evan Harger

Evan Harger serves as the Director of Orchestral Activities at Marywood University where he conducts the Symphony Orchestra and teaches courses in Music History and Conducting. He also serves as Music Director for both the Young People's Philharmonic of the Lehigh Valley and the Northeastern Youth Orchestra, Youth Orchestras in Allentown and Scranton, PA.

His professional guest conducting engagements have included the PHACE Ensemble for New Music in Vienna Austria, St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra, Northern Tier Symphony Orchestra, Maryland Chamber Winds, and Oregon Mozart Players. Additionally, he is a staff conductor for both the Vienna Summer Music Festival and the Sofia Symphonic Summit as well as Managing Director of the Los Angeles Music Industry Summer Academy.

As an educator, Evan has worked with numerous youth orchestras and honor groups in Pennsylvania including the Marywood String Celebration Chamber Orchestra, PMEA District IX Orchestra, Lycoming County Honor Band, and the Berks County Honor Orchestra. He has a passion for conducting and working with students of all backgrounds and levels.
