“Hello to all my former students and alumni,
I am thrilled and proud to announce an event
that has been years in the making!
Our goal is to create and capture a variety of media events and concerts that will include everyone that wants to be involved in sharing the story of this remarkable studio over the last 35 years.
Multiple events will be scheduled and created between the 2021 Penn State Trombone Labor Days through the following year’s 2022 Penn State Trombone Labor Days.
The events will feature the incredible music that has been arranged and composed by our very own studio members through the years. The final product will include individual interviews, chamber music, smaller ensembles, jazz and contemporary media groups, and of course, trombone choir.
We intend to record not only at Penn State’s new music facilities, but around the country in a variety of settings in hopes to give everyone a chance to be a part of this very special and important project. We have available dates, not only during this next school year, but through out next summer 2022.
I feel very strongly that what you all represent is indeed something quite special. We need to try to do everything in our power to collect the details, and tell this story of ours.
I intend to reach out to you all individually in the days come. I look forward to speaking with each of you.
Please feel free to call or text me at 814 574-2155, or email me at marklusk@psu.edu. Of course communication via Facebook, or other social media, is also possible.
I sincerely hope you will consider being a part of this important project, and that you be willing to lend your story so we can better tell our story.
Love and prayers to you and your loved ones,”
Mark
