Kim Clark

Kim Clark lives in Surry, NH with her husband and two children. She currently serves as the elementary band teacher in Keene, NH where she is responsible for recruitment, scheduling, and teaching beginning band lessons and ensembles for 4th and 5th grade students across four public schools. Her recent composition “Spring” was premiered in April 2022 by her current students. She has developed her own beginning instrumental method books that aspire to balance fundamental techniques, fun, and differentiated levels of success.

Mrs. Clark enjoys making music locally in the Keene area. She currently plays bass trombone in the Keene Jazz Orchestra and has performed with the Vermont Jazz Center Big Band, Keene State College Concert Band, Keene Chamber Orchestra, Windham Orchestra, Tom Foolery Band, and Hill’s Band Wagon. Recently, she has studied voice and enjoys singing diverse genres of music.

Previously, Mrs. Clark served as the director of bands at Troy High School in Troy, PA, where she directed the marching, concert, and jazz bands and taught music theory and music appreciation.

Mrs. Clark earned an MM in Trombone Performance from Ohio State University and a BS in Music Education from Penn State University. Her trombone teachers include Dan Tomassone, Mark Lusk, Joe Duchi, and Marc Fields.
