Kevin Lynch
Kevin graduated from Penn State in 2016 and moved to Virginia to start his career in music education as a Middle School Band Director. Kevin is going into his seventh year as a middle school band director and teaches at Shirley Heim Middle School in Stafford, Virginia.
Outside of school, Kevin hosts a music education podcast called “Tenuto” built around interviews with other music teachers. He has been a varsity basketball coach, lacrosse coach, and has a studio of 15 brass players that he teaches private lessons to once a week.
Last year in the 2021-22 school year, Kevin was named the Shirley Heim MIddle School Teacher of the Year, Stafford County Public Schools Division Teacher of the Year, and was named as a finalist for the Washington Post Teacher of the Year.
